Phileas is a sailboat designed to be the symbol of the "Vox Maris" project, an initiative for the protection of marine ecosystems. Phileas is a floating laboratory that allows you to collect environmental data, monitor marine pollution as well as, port by port, raise awareness of the importance of protecting the sea and implement the network collection project. Through missions involving experts, and local communities, Phileas sails along strategic Mediterranean routes to document and resolve the impact of human activities on the marine environment. The boat is not only a means of exploration, but a real vehicle of awareness, bringing with it a message of harmony between man, technology and nature.
Vox Maris is an active project of the BioDesign Foundation, which aims to monitor marine ecosystems, and clean them from ghost nets. Phileas identifies the most critical areas, coordinates targeted interventions and analyses the impact of actions, creating relationships in port realities. The sail of the Custodians thus transforms the Vox Maris project into a challenge that the Custodians carry on together, combining technology and collective action to protect the sea.
